Registering Domain NameThe first step to create your website is to get your domain name for your website (www.yourdomainname.com). You can use your company name or use a keyword rich domain name so that your website can rank high for that particular keyword in Google. So you need to brainstorm a few domain names you want for your site.

Next, go to Namecheap to check whether the domain name is available. Try to use .com if available. Another good alternative can be .net or .org. After you have decided on a domain name for your website, don’t buy it first. Because in my next article, I am going to show you how you can get your first domain name for FREE! If your hosting doesn’t provide you with a free domain name you can easily register at Namecheap.
